So another week has passed and for many of you reading this blog post you’ll have done little or no work (yes work) to attract new therapy clients to your therapy business.

If this sounds like you, then I can say with a degree of certainty that you’re probably not going to be the #1 Therapist in your area.

If You Prefer To Listen To This Blog Post Then Click Below
Listen!

You see, the #1 Therapist in your area deploys a strategy and tactics for attracting new clients consistently on a week to week basis.

It’s part of their business model.

Maybe you think that hey, I’ve got a website so everybody will be able to find me.

There’s little or no chance of anybody finding you if you’re on page 62 of Google!

What you need to do is to create a program to ensure on a week to week basis that you are allocating and deploying time for your marketing efforts.

Now marketing ‘On Line’ is much easier than offline if you know what to do.

Learning how to market yourself online is not really that hard once you learn the basics.

The rewards for applying those techniques on a regular basis will really pay dividends for your therapy practice.

In a short period of time if you apply what you’ll learn you will achieve incredible results GUARANTEE.

In my opinion every therapist should allocate a minimum of at least 1 hour per week to marketing their therapy business online.

The more structured time you spend marketing your therapy practice, the quicker the results will come.

So the question is……….. Do you want to be the #1 Therapist in your area?

If your answer is yes then just put your name and email address in the box below and I will contact you and show you how you can start today to create the kind of therapy practice that you want.

. So you’re probably thinking “How much is this going to cost me?” My answer to that is ” a lot less than you think” and here’s the reason why. I am in the latter stages of completing my membership site for therapists wanting to learn how to market their business on the Internet. Now in order to test drive the membership system before we roll it to the thousands of therapists who are wanting to become members, I’m making available just 50 Charter Memberships available at a ridiculously discounted price. So if you want to be the #1 Therapist in your area GUARANTEED then the next thing that you need to do is to fill in your name and email address in the box below and I will let you have the details of the program.

Why, because you don’t need to go there to do your tweeting.

Were just happy running programs like Tweet deck where you can see all your tweets, all the people you’re following, groups, mentions, searches and much more all on 1 screen.

Anyway, I happened to go to the home page for Twitter and was pleasantly surprised at the changes they have made.

Twitter have now made it possible to see the most popular tweets by the minute by the hour and by the day.

Have a look at the video to see what I’m talking about.

In today’s post I want to run through how you can use the Google Keyword Tool to find out what search terms potential clients are typing into Google to find the services and products that you have to offer.

Now this tool is Free and it’s a great way to establish what search terms you should target to attract clients.

When you enter a keyword phrase i.e. New York Therapist into the Keyword Tool you will be presented with a list of phrases (including the one you entered) and the number of times people have searched using that term.

There are two columns namely Local Search Volume and Global Search Volume which as their names suggest provide the number of searches made locally and the number of searches made globally.

Please have a look at the video I made for you below for a more detailed explanation.

Drew S. Goodman: Do I Have ADHD?

I sometimes wonder if I have ADHD? My attention span seems so short lived that I have to wonder if I’m easily distracted by the latest shiny object (or book) that catches my eye. Like the book I just picked up this week. …

Misdiagnosis of ADHD | Psych Central News

Children with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) have a high risk of psychiatric problems, particularly attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),

MedCastle » What is ADHD ؟

Health experts say that ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) is the most common behavioral disorder that starts during childhood. However, it does not only affect children – people of all ages can suffer from ADHD. …

ADHD Students and Sleep Disorders

For students with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), sleep disorders can be a common problem in and out of the classroom. Students who are sleep deprived are not able to focus or thrive in the classroom.

Now most of us are familiar with the stereotype of tortured artists such Silvia Plath and Salvador Dali.

New research suggests that genetic mutation may be linked to psychosis and schizophrenia also influences creativity.

Szabolcs Kéri, a researcher at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, who carried out the study believes that the findings in this research could help explain why mutations that increase a persons risk of developing mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and bipolar syndrome have been preserved, even preferred, during human evolution

Kéri examined a gene involved in brain development called neuregulin 1, which previous studies have linked to a slightly increased risk of schizophrenia. Moreover, a single DNA letter mutation that affects how much of the neuregulin 1 protein is made in the brain has been linked to psychosis, poor memory and sensitivity to criticism.

About 50 per cent of healthy Europeans have one copy of this mutation, while 15 per cent possess two copies.

On Friday, June 12th, at 9:01pm (PST), you really need to grab your Facebook username so that you can easily direct family, clients, friends and co-workers to your profile.

When you go to the Facebook Username Page on that day and time you will be able to register your name (if it’s available) and if you are successful and your username was John Smith, then you could end up with the URL http://www.facebook.com/JohnSmith

Now this process is going to work on a first come first served basis so if your name was John Smith then you may be out of luck if that name has already been claimed by another John Smith.

If you are trying to brand yourself as a therapist with your own name then I feel that this is really worth the effort.

My concern is that on that day when the doors open, will Facebook’s servers be able to handle the volume of Facebook users trying desperately to grab their name.

Check out the Facebook Blog for more information.

All for now

The #2 reason why therapists fail online follows on from the previous blog post from a couple of weeks ago that was entitled “#1 Reason Why Therapists Fail Online”

In the #1 reason I discussed how it was imperative that you research your keywords to ensure that you find the types of keywords that potential therapy clients are searching for before you start to write any content for your blog. You can then use these keyword phrases and sprinkle them throughout your copy.

OK so lets get to it. The #2 reason why therapist fail online is because they do not promote their content.

You can have the best content in the world but it is meaningless if nobody knows about it.

As I’ve outlined many times before throughout this blog, if you’re a therapist and you have a website but don’t have a blog then you’re missing out big time.

If you have a blog then you are probably aware that every time you create and publish a new post then that post is pinged to many search engines saying to them that there is new content at your blog.

Now that’s a good start but it’s certainly not enough.

The next stage in the process should be to promote your new blog posts to as many social media and social bookmarking sites as you can. And then some.

There’s a post about Clipmarks Installation and Use (Free Social Bookmarking Tool) that can really propel your content onto the first page of Google.

I would suggest that you may want to learn how to use this tool to maximize your exposure.

Here are some other sites you may want to bookmark your content at:-

Digg

Propeller

StubleUpon

Delicious

Jumptags

That’s it

Today it’s just not enough to rely on Yellow Pages and traditional forms of advertising to attract new therapy clients.

We have to do much more than just placing an advert in a newspaper or publication. We need to have a good presence on the Internet providing content on our websites/blogs that potential therapy clients are searching for.

Of the therapists I’ve spoken to, most have a website and very few have a blog. Even if you have a website you must get a blog.

You need a blog so that you can create and easily update new blog posts on a regular basis which when promoted will attract new therapy clients.

OK, so you might be saying to yourself “I’ve got a website so I’m alright.”

Let me ask you 3 questions.

Did you research what potential therapy clients were searching for in the last 3 months?

Did you create any new content based on these search results in the last 3 months?

Did you promote this new content to potential therapy clients?

Most of you reading this will be answering NO to all 3 questions.

It’s for these 3 reasons that you did not get any new clients from your website/blog.

There’s not a lot that we can do about yesterday, last week or last month. What’s now important is what we do today, tomorrow and the day after.

So what can you do today to turn this around.

First off, if you haven’t got a blog get one. If you want to use our services to create a blog for you including all the necessary plugins to ensure that your new blog is setup to be a magnet for the search engines ALL For FREE ($450 value) as part of my bonus in my Coaching Club, then go here.

Once you have your blog, go to the Google Keyword Tool and find out what therapy clients are searching for and create content around those keyword search terms.

Last but not least, promote your blog by creating new accounts at Stumbleupon, Clipmarks and Jumptags plus the many other Social Bookmarking sites that are online.

If you want me to personally coach you on a One On One Basis to put all these techniques into place then go here

Don’t be shy, leave a comment and let me know this was of value to you.

All for now
